Tara F. Racicot


Tara Racicot is a civil attorney with a focus on defense litigation and higher education. Attorney Racicot’s litigation practice primarily involves tort claims and insurance coverage disputes. In addition to her litigation practice, Attorney Racicot assists insurers with insurance coverage analysis to effectively address all manner of coverage issues. Additionally, Attorney Racicot assists educational clients in understanding the unique challenges faced by institutions of higher education in responding to a wide array of regulatory and compliance issues including Title IX compliance, FERPA, and state authorization. She advises institutions of higher education on Title IX investigations and lawsuits, Department of Education Investigations, as well as contracts and litigates education matters as well.

Attorney Racicot received her undergraduate degree from the University of New Haven and her juris doctor degree from Quinnipiac University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Attorney Racicot held various positions in the legal field for over ten years, including the period of time in which she was working towards obtaining her law degree.

Attorney Racicot is admitted to the Connecticut Bar, and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. She is a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association.
