Samantha Barnes is a civil litigation attorney whose practice focuses primarily on motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, contract disputes, and personal injury. She grew up in Ledyard, Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Communications and a minor in English. She received her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Roger Williams University School of Law in May 2025. During law school Samantha gained valuable experience in both public service and federal court practice. She interned with the Office of the Attorney General in the Child Support and Collections Section during her 2L summer and later externed for the Honorable John J. McConnell of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island during her 3L year. She was a member of the Roger Williams University Law Review and Moot Court and competed in the 2024 Phi Alpha Delta National Mock Trial Competition, where she further developed her passion for civil trial advocacy. She also served as President of the Employment and Labor Law Society and received CALI awards in both Professional Responsibility and Interviewing & Counseling. Outside of practicing law, Samantha enjoys spending time with her friends and family, as well as with her horses, Ima and Rosie.
