Joshua Chapps leads Conway Stoughton’s workers’ compensation practice and has been practicing workers’ compensation law since he began his law career. He brings extensive experience defending employers and insurance carriers on issues involving compensability, coverage, premium recovery, as well as subrogation, before all Districts making up the Connecticut’s Workers’ Compensation Commission, Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents, Connecticut Superior Courts, Appellate Courts, and U.S. District Courts.

Over the course of his career, Attorney Chapps has successfully appeared in and handled thousands of cases involving claims ranging from the modest to the catastrophic and complex. Attorney Chapps is also a proven trial lawyer obtaining first chair trial verdicts over the course of his career in commercial litigation, premises liability, and product liability claims, as well as successfully resolving high-exposure cases through alternative dispute resolution. In his free time, Attorney Chapps enjoys spending time with his sons and contributes to his community by volunteering as Assistant Scoutmaster for his local BSA Troop.
